Hello fellow SEERSians,
The Board has decided to err on the side of caution and cancel the upcoming Fall SEERS meeting on Jekyll Island, GA. While there is still some uncertainty in the forecast for the latter part of this week, we felt compelled to place a priority on the safety of those traveling to, and especially from, the meeting.
Making this decision today allows all hotel reservations to be canceled without penalty and minimizes the costs incurred to SEERS from the Convention Center. It is our intent to refund all registration fees for this meeting.
While we are extremely disappointed we will not be seeing everyone on Jekyll Island, we urge you hold on to all those great talks and posters and to mark your calendars for our Spring Meeting, held together with the Benthic Ecology Meeting, in Myrtle Beach, SC, in April of 2017. Check back here for continuing details.
