The Atlantic Estuarine Research Society (AERS) and the Southeastern Estuarine Research Society (SEERS) are joining forces for the March 19-21, 2026 meeting in Morehead City, NC. Both organizations will be offering several travel awards to qualifying students who are presenting at the upcoming AERS/SEERS joint meeting this spring. The total number of awards given will be based on the number and quality of applications received. To be qualified, students must have a current membership to either AERS or SEERS. Priority will be given to students who have not won an award in the past two years and those that have documented financial need. Only one award can be granted per meeting presentation/abstract. To be considered for a student travel award, please answer the following questions about your eligibility COMPLETELY, HONESTLY, and ON TIME. Failure to meet these criteria will disqualify you from receiving a student travel award.
The deadline for the Spring 2025 AERS/SEERS joint meeting Student Travel Award application form to be submitted is 5:00 PM on January 31st, 2026! If you have any problems completing this form, please email Dr. Loren Mathews at presidentelect@seers.org.
