Due to concerns about COVID-19, the SEERS Board has chosen to cancel the Spring 2020 Meeting at Jekyll Island, GA. This decision was not made lightly and was based on attendee feedback and increased travel restrictions by institutions. There is no plan to reschedule the Spring 2020 Meeting due to uncertainty related to COVID-19.
Please note that attendees should cancel their hotel rooms themselves. If you are staying at the Holiday Inn on Jekyll Island, this will need to be done by Tuesday March 17th. For other hotels, please check your reservation to confirm your hotel’s cancellation policy.
SEERS will begin processing reimbursements for registration fees via the method of payment used in the coming week. For credit cards, money will go back on the card used; for check payments, a check will be placed in the mail to your billing address. Any pending invoices will be canceled. You should receive an email regarding the completion of your refund in the coming two weeks. We ask for your patience as we begin tackling this task. Any additional questions can be sent to our Treasurer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Unfortunately, all travel awards will be canceled. We apologize for the inconvenience and burden this may place on potential recipients.
To our sponsors, the SEERS board would like to extend their deepest gratitude for their support. Without you these meetings would not be possible, and we hope to have your continued support.
To our Local Host Rachel Guy and our Meeting Planning Committee, the SEERS Board would like to extend a huge thank you for your time and dedication to SEERS and developing an exceptional program.
Stay tuned for an update regarding our Fall 2020 Meeting in the coming weeks.
Any additional questions should be directed to our Past President, Cassondra Armstrong at email@example.com. Stay safe, informed, and healthy and we hope to see you at an upcoming meeting.
